MEDP's McMinnville WORKS 2016 Internship Program - Open for Applicants!

(MCMINNVILLE, OR) – The McMinnville Economic Development Partnership (MEDP) is pleased to announce that applications for the McMinnville WORKS 2016 Summer Internship Program will now be accepted. McMinnville WORKS is a 9 week, paid internship running from June 13th to August 12th, 2016 in McMinnville, Oregon. The program is a collaborative, industry led initiative that brings together career explorers and McMinnville area businesses for the purpose of training, networking and career development -- it's a "grow our own" approach to local talent development.

The program has over 30 internship positions at over 14 host sites, with more on the way. Hosts include: Cascade Steel Rolling Mills, City of McMinnville, McMinnville Chamber of Commerce, Meggitt Polymers & Composites, OnlineNW, Remy Wines, Sea Reach Ltd., Solid Form Fabrication, Suite 4, Visit McMinnville, Willamette Valley Medical Center and Yamhill County Clerk. The intern positions will be in areas such as Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Finance/Accounting, Marketing, Event and Project Management, Human Resources, Health and Safety, Administration, Design and Fabrication and many more. Participants will have the opportunity to work directly on a project in a real world business environment, participate in weekly Professional Development workshops, and attend industry learning tours.

MEDP will be recruiting at local and state colleges for the specific job descriptions provided by our host companies. Applications for all positions will close on February 24, 2016 with interviews occurring in the month of March.
