Ag Tech Meetup - Logging Drones

That’s right. Drones don’t just take fancy pictures of crops and trees, some people actually put them to work. At this meetup you’ll meet Mark Standley, a third generation logger who is using drones to work smarter and safer. Mark and his dad have developed a drone that helps them rig logging cables and their business is accomplishing in hours what used to take days. The Standleys' drones have many other applications so come explore with us how drones can make work in the woods easier, safer and more efficient.

Mark Standley, Jr. has been working for the Bighorn Logging company since 2002. In 2008, Mark worked with Associated Oregon Loggers to create a tree climber rescue that is now used for training purposes across Oregon. Mark previously was a Captain for the Amity Fire District and a firefighter for the Banks Fire District. He is also a certified Medic First Aid Instructor.
