It's time for the finance talk

Little or no training, and the fear of the problem's complexity are two reasons people avoid thinking about or planning their finances. 

If you are ready to seriously assess your financial health and learn how to create financial habits to achieve sound financial outcomes, SEDCOR invites you to attend the June Economic Business Forum lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at the Broadway Commons, 1300 Broadway St. in Salem. 

“If you are brave enough to attend the presentation, you should walk away with some ideas and the impetus to start or continue your financial education,” guest speaker Dan Gossack said. 

The owner of several businesses including DTI Advisers, Gossack shared it can be empowering to learn how to track your finances in a manner that isn’t complex or time consuming. 

“By learning to manage your finances, you will end up where you want to go with your financial plans,” he said. 

Note: SEDCOR's next Economic Business Forum lunch is Wednesday, Oct. 9. There are no lunches in July and August. Mark your calendars to attend the Annual Awards Celebration on Friday, Sept. 6.

Guest speaker Dan Gossack

A 1984 graduate of the University of Oregon with a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics, Daniel Gossack taught high school math in the Salem-Keizer School District before he embarked on his business career. 

In 1992, he co-founded TimeMark and he has purchased several other companies, advised dozens of companies, and provided angel investing. He currently owns Hi-Tek Electronics and Hi-Line Assembly and has recently partnered to start a business advising company, DTI Advisers.

The cost for lunch is:

$20 for members

$24 for non-members
