Yamhill County Student Manufacturing Experience – Fall 2025

Yamhill County, OR – October 1, 2025 – Yamhill County is gearing up to celebrate the power of manufacturing and inspire the next generation of makers through the 2025 Yamhill County Student Manufacturing Experience. This two-part fall event series connects local students with hands-on opportunities to explore careers, tour modern facilities, and discover the skills needed to thrive in today’s high-demand manufacturing workforce.

📅 Fall 2025Facility Tours Across Yamhill County
Area manufacturers are invited to host student facility tours this fall, providing high school students with a firsthand look inside innovative production facilities. Participating businesses will play a direct role in shaping student awareness of manufacturing’s diverse career paths. Employers can select the dates that work best for them to welcome students into their facilities.

📅 Thursday, November 20, 2025 | 9:00am – 2:00pm
📍 Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum
The fall season culminates in a county-wide celebration of manufacturing. Students will gather for an expo and interactive experience, including OMEP’s Ready or Not Manufacturing Simulation Game—a dynamic, team-based activity where participants step into the role of running a manufacturing company. The event will also feature tabling, mentoring opportunities, and exhibits where local manufacturers can engage directly with students, share career pathways, and highlight the essential role of manufacturing in our economy.

“This experience bridges the classroom and the production floor,” said the WIN Taskforce on Workforce Development in Manufacturing. “By opening our doors and engaging with students, manufacturers ensure a stronger pipeline of talent for our local economy.”
