Level Up Internship Program Offers Fall Opportunities for Manufacturers to Engage Local Youth Talent

The Level Up Internship Program through Unidos Bridging Community is off to a strong start this year, launching its Spring 2025 cohort with over 70 applications and 30 youth interns placed with 12 businesses in the region. The program is creating direct, meaningful connections between local youth and diverse career pathways.

This spring, interns are gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of industries—from nonprofits and landscaping to event centers, museums, and government entities. The cohort is notably diverse, reflecting the broad interests and strengths of the youth participants and the community's commitment to inclusive career development.

Looking ahead, Level Up is preparing for its Fall 2025 cohort, which will focus primarily on manufacturing. We are actively seeking manufacturers to partner with us and host interns during this upcoming session. Participating businesses will receive a wage subsidy stipend, making it a cost-effective way to invest in future talent and contribute to workforce development in the region.

Program Coordinator, Salma Galvan Pelayo is avidly recruiting manufacturing partners, we are optimistic and excited to build stronger partnerships in this sector and will work with them and the Bureau of Labor and Industry to navigate youth learning opportunities. Hosting an intern is not only a chance to support youth career exploration—it’s also a strategic opportunity to introduce young people to the world of modern manufacturing and develop your next generation of talented employees.

If you're a manufacturer interested in shaping the future workforce while receiving direct support through our internship program, we invite you to connect with us today.

Let’s Level Up together.
